Subscription Terms for Kiroku
Last Updated: June 10, 2026
These Subscription Terms ("Subscription Terms") apply to any paid subscription you purchase inside the Kiroku mobile application ("App"), operated by Petr Čala. They supplement, and form part of, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By purchasing or activating a subscription you accept these Subscription Terms in addition to those documents.
1. Subscription Products
Kiroku currently offers the following auto-renewing subscriptions:
- Monthly Supporter — billed monthly.
- Annual Supporter — billed once per year.
For each subscription, the exact price, renewal period, and applicable taxes are displayed inside the App on the purchase screen prior to confirming the purchase, and again by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store at checkout.
Subscriptions are sold as a way to support continued development of Kiroku. They unlock a cosmetic "Kiroku Supporter" badge on your profile. They do not unlock core tracking functionality, which remains free.
2. Auto-Renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the same price (plus applicable taxes) unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple ID account settings (iOS) or your Google Play account settings (Android), after purchase.
3. Free Trials and Introductory Offers
If a free trial or introductory offer is available, the details (duration, eligibility, and the price that applies after the offer ends) are shown in the App and at the store checkout before purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable under store policy.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time before the next renewal date:
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Kiroku → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kiroku → Cancel subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access to supporter benefits until that date.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective store policies. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds outside those policies. To request a refund:
- iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Android: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days without giving a reason. You lose this right only if you gave your prior express consent to the supply beginning immediately and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. Because supporter benefits are made available immediately after purchase, Apple or Google — as the merchant of record — collects this consent and acknowledgment in its checkout flow. Your other statutory consumer rights, including your rights regarding the conformity of digital content, are not affected.
6. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices. A price change applies no earlier than the next renewal of your subscription. The store will notify you in advance and, where its rules require it (notably on Apple's App Store), will ask for your express consent to the new price — if you do not consent, the subscription will not renew at the new price. You can always cancel before the change takes effect, as described in Cancellation.
7. Payment Processing
All purchases are processed by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play), who act as the merchant (seller) of record for the transaction. Your purchase contract for the subscription is concluded with the relevant store, and refunds are handled under that store's policies. We use RevenueCat, Inc. as a service provider to manage subscription entitlements and to receive purchase events from the stores. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is processed in this context.
8. Eligibility
To purchase a subscription you must be of legal age to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction and must meet the eligibility requirements of the App as described in our Terms of Service.
9. Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to supporter benefits if you materially breach these Subscription Terms or our Terms of Service. Refunds remain governed by the store policies described in Refunds and by your statutory rights, which we cannot withhold.
10. Changes to These Subscription Terms
We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will notify you in the App or via the store at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may reject the change by cancelling your subscription before that date. Changes do not apply retroactively.
11. Governing Law
These Subscription Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
12. Consumer Disputes (Out-of-Court Resolution)
Because Apple or Google is the merchant of record for subscription purchases, please raise disputes about a purchase, billing, or a refund with the relevant store first. If you are a consumer and a dispute between you and us cannot be resolved directly, you have the right to an out-of-court resolution of the dispute. The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic, coi.cz (online submissions at adr.coi.cz).
